I have a younger brother. He is the only sibling I have ever had and, indeed, the only I ever will have. How, then, is it that I continually end up in situations wherein I act as an older brother for assorted girls? A week or two ago, I was talking with a few of my friends. The topic was, I believe, something along the lines of poor social skills. One of my friends mentioned that he had, throughout high school, spent most of his time "in my room, with a big screen on his computer".
This wasn't quite what I heard. I asked for clarification.

It occurs to me that, contrary to what I posted in my response to The Dumb Interview Meme, I've actually had at least one experience with crazy jailbait. I imagine that happened due to a combination of the reasons given, as well as the fact that I was one of the best friends of her brother.

One of the oddities of my life is that I often manage to find myself in horrendously absurd situations and then, partly as a result of my overwhelming anhedonia, fail to be affected by them. At least, until the reality of the situation sets in and triggers an anxiety attack. Whoops.
Nevertheless, I haven't the slightest idea as to how or why this keeps happening.
